Bathtub Drain Strain Installation Instructions
Important Instructions –
- DO NOT test the Adapter Nut in your drain before attaching it to the Adapter Stem. This will prevent you from accidentally dropping the nut down the drain. Ensure your cap is pulled up to ensure proper water flow.
- REMOVE OLD DRAIN STOPPER
Remove the drain plug currently in your tub. Go to www.drainstrain.com/bathtub for videos on how to remove the most common drain stoppers from your tub.
- ATTACH ADAPTER NUT TO ADAPTER STEM
Hand screw Adapter Nut onto the base of the Adapter Stem. If adapter assembly doesn't install properly into the drain thread, switch nut and try again.
- INSTALL ADAPTER STEM
Insert Adapter Stem into drain thread and hand tighten. Slide Tightening Tool down completely over the stem and use flathead screwdriver to firmly tighten Adapter Stem into the drain.
- ATTACH BASKET TO CAP
Locate the slots on the underside of the Cap. Insert the basket clips into these slots and push up. When you hear a light click, the Basket is attached. It will hang loosely from the Cap.
- INSTALL BASKET & CAP ASSEMBLY IN DRAIN
Gently drop Basket and Cap assembly onto installed Adapter Stem in drain.
